well, apparently ‘meleg levegő’ literally means hot air, but it isn’t a metaphor in Hungarian; perhaps ‘üres duma’ better conveys the idea of spewing bullshit. And yet in this moment of Febrary 2025, the world watches, either gleefully or with horrow, at the spector of the Trump administration flooding the zone with lies, mischaracterizations, insults and all that. Sometimes quite colorfully — when Musk blithely degreed USAid to be so rotten there was no apple, only a ball of worms, I had to admit it was a powerful image. If only it wasn’t used to discredit an agency doing all sorts of humanitarian work that Musk was gleefully pulling the plug on, like an effective and heartless corporate boss ought to do. Remember the good old days when it was all about self-driving cars? Whenever a self-driving Tesla would drive someone into a wall and kill them, Musk would always cheefully announce that, nonetheless, AI driven cars were safer than human driven ones.
